Again these are all books that I would like to read soon but I know I probably won’t get to most of these. What are you reading this month? Are you participating in any fun reading challenges?
Hi Friends! I found this tag randomly while searching one for Valentine’s day but I couldn’t find the original creator. I also cut down the questions because there was a lot and some I just didn’t like.
First romance you remember reading – Honestly it was probably Pride and Prejudice when I was in highschool. I was more into fantasy when I was younger and that lead to me discovering Urban Fantasy which were probably my first romances. Ilona Andrews and Patricia Briggs were the ones I first started with.
Last romance you read – The Backup Plan by Jill Shalvis.
The romance you are most likely to recommend to a newbie – The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
The romance you are most likely to recommend to another romance reader – Anything by Mariana Zapata
An overrated romance you wish people would stop talking about – Personally for me it’s Colleen Hoover or Tessa Bailey but people should read whatever they want and I am not here to tell people who and what to read.
An auto-buy author – Nalini Singh, Penny Reid, Mariana Zapata, Ilona Andrews, Christina Lauren and Chloe Liese
An author you used to love that you have since abandoned – There are so many! Kathleen Brooks and JR Ward used to be auto buy authors but I have taken a pause on them as they were getting real repetitive and I needed more. I will probably still pick them up but just not as frequently.
Favorite trope – Grump and Sunshine as well as Enemies to Lovers
Best book with your favorite trope – The Hating Game and The Wall of Winnipeg
Most hated trope – Friends to Lovers and Second Chance
Romance cover you love – Not really a romance but I LOVE this cover and the romance in this one broke my heart!
A book you’ve reread more than twice – Way too many to count!

The three Ws are: What are currently reading? What have you finished reading? What will you read next?
What are you currently reading?
Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey – This one is slow going but I am really enjoying it and am about 30% in.
The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman – I picked this one up while on vacation but haven’t been able to get back into it yet but I think I was around 50ish pages in. Hopefully I can finish it this week!
The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton – I am loving this one! It’s very different but in a fun way and I am 60% into it and should finish it today.
What did you recently finish reading?
Pandora’s Jar: Woman In Greek Myths by Natalie Haynes – 3 Stars
Love In The Time Of Serial killers by Alicia Thompson – 3.5 Stars
What do you think you’ll read next?
The Only One Left by Riley Sager
Circe by Madeline Miller
The Angel Maker by Alex North

These are my top 5 longest read books according to goodreads but I am pretty sure that 4 of these are so big because they were mass markets. I also added my current read of Leviathan Wakes, even though it is only 592 pages it is one of the biggest books I own not including my Wheel of Time books.
The Witching Hour by Anne Rice – 1090 pgs
Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey – 1040 pgs
Lord of Chaos by Robert Jordan – 1011 pgs
(Here should be a George R.R. Martin but I hated it so much I don’t want it on my list)
Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon – 947 pgs
Fool’s Fate by Robin Hobb – 914 pgs
Leviathan Wakes by James S.A Corey – 592 – Huge!
What are some books you are looking forward to in the first part of the year?
Ten Thousand Stitches by Olivia Atwater – 3.5 Stars This one is the follow up to Half A Soul which was one of my favorite books last year. This one wasn’t quite as good but it was still fun. I really enjoy the mix of faerie and historical context and also think that this doesn’t need to be read in any order. This one was like a Cinderella retelling, we follow a maid who falls in love with a rich man and engages the help of the fae in order to achieve this. As always when the fae try to help things do not go as planned and chaos ensues.
What Lies In The Woods by Kate Alice Marshall – 4 Stars This was an entertaining thriller and 3 girls who were attacked when they were young and now years later the truth is finally going to come out. Found this one to be fast paced and very enjoyable!
Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett – 4.5 Stars I loved this book so much!! It was such a fun read and I am so sad I have to wait for the sequel! This book takes place in the early 1900’s and follows Emily who is a scholar and studies the Fae. With the unwelcome help of colleague the two try and find out what the can of the Tall Ones. Love a good grump and sunshine as well as an enemies to lovers story!
Do I Know You by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka – DNF I just want to start this off by saying that this one just wasn’t working for me. I really enjoyed this duos first book so I was excited for this one but I got about 25% in and decided to not finish it. This story follows a married couple who are celebrating their five year anniversary but something is missing in their relationship. When they accidentally get introduced to each other as strangers they both decide to go with it. This premise just wasn’t working for me but I think there is still an audience for this one. Thank you Berkley and Edelweiss for my gifted copy for review.
Todays topic is:A Freebie!!! So I went back to March 2020 and picked What Is Your Favorite Way of Reading a Book? (Aria @ Book Nook Bits)
As some of you may know I am a mood reader and that goes for not only my genre but also how I read. I rotate mostly between physical and ebook with a little bit of audio thrown in for fun.
I will say ebooks are my favorite right now and that is mainly because of convenience and I also read faster on my kindle than I do a physical book. Reading on my ereader or phone means that no matter where I am I can always pick up a book. My family is going to Disney this week and I imagine I will be reading quite a bit while they are on rides or just waiting in line! Even though I love my kindle I still like my physical books and I am taking those with me for the plain ride and sitting by the pool. I think sitting by the pool or ocean with a book is one of the best things ever! As for audio they are like ebooks in that they are so convenient, you can listen while driving or doing house chores so you feel productive for both cleaning and reading!

Hello Friends! It’s Sunday and so I thought I would share my “Sundays in Bed With….” a meme dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning. The meme was originally hosted by Midnight Book Girl but I found it over on One Book More’s Blog.
Hi Friends! It’s been awhile since I have posted one of these as my reading has gone down but this morning I was lazy and read some of one of my most anticipated ARCs! So far I am really enjoying it but I have loved everyone of her historical fiction books.
The Cuban Heiress by Chanel Cleeton

In 1934, a luxury cruise becomes a fight for survival as two women’s pasts collide on a round-trip voyage from New York to Havana in New York Times bestselling author Chanel Cleeton’s page-turning new novel inspired by the true story of the SS Morro Castle.
New York heiress Catherine Dohan seemingly has it all. There’s only one problem. It’s a lie. As soon as the Morro Castle leaves port, Catherine’s past returns with a vengeance and threatens her life. Joining forces with a charismatic jewel thief, Catherine must discover who wants her dead—and why.
Elena Palacio is a dead woman. Or so everyone thinks. After a devastating betrayal left her penniless and on the run, Elena’s journey on the Morro Castle is her last hope. Steeped in secrecy and a burning desire for revenge, her return to Havana is a chance to right the wrong that has been done to her—and her prey is on the ship.
As danger swirls aboard the Morro Castle and their fates intertwine, Elena and Catherine must risk everything to see justice served once and for all.
