Reading Round Up: January Part 1

Trials of Conviction by T.A. White – 5 Stars This is book 5 in a sci-fi series that follows our main character Kira as she tries to rescue her niece and best friend. The plot of this one is just another notch for the overall plot so it’s really har to review. I still love Kira and Jin and their relationship and the ending had me crying! This book is packed with action, romance and family and recommend if you like sci-fi stories.

The Last Love Note by Emma Grey – 5 Stars This book was so emotional and beautiful that I could not stop recommending it at work! We follow a woman as she deals with widowhood and having to take care of her young son. Along the way she begins to find herself again and it was such an emotional journey. If you like stories abut hope then I would like at this one.

Float Plan by Trish Doller – 5 Stars After being emotionally wrecked from The Last Love Note I went straight into to a re-read of this one to keep up all my crying. I love this book so much and I love to re-read it every January! This is a story about loss and learning to move on and also pushing yourself outside your comfort zone. Highly recommend this one for an emotional romance.

One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig – 5 Stars This is book 1 in a duology that follows Elspeth as she tries to hide the monster inside her from her family and the kingdom. I love a good gothic story and this one hit the mark. Elspeth has spent her life hiding what she really is and an encounter with the Kings Captain will change the course of her life forever.
