Hello Friends! I am feeling very proud of myself that I am up to date with reviews and reading round up so far for the month! I had a lot of good reading so far for March and its still going good. I am still loving the Veronica Speedwell series and also listening to some new releases that I got from the library. What have you been enjoying so far this month, any new favorites?

A Brush With Love by Mazy Eddings – 4 Stars This was a cute story about two people who are both in med school to be dentists. I have to say that teeth are not my thing, I can not help but gag when my kids loose their teeth so there were some aspects of this book that I had to skip over. With that being said it was still a really cute book but I would look into trigger warnings as this book deals with lots of heavy topics. I enjoyed the romance as well as the personal growth in this book and I would recommend picking this one up!
A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn – 5 Stars I picked this one up after seeing a ton of people talking about it over on youtube and I am so glad I did! This is a historical mystery series set in Victoria London and follows Veronica Speedwell and her partner Stoker. The two meet when trying to figure out who murdered an acquaintance of theirs and they work together to try and solve it before Stoker gets arrested for it. This is such a fun ride and I loved every minute of it and the tension between Veronica and Stoker is perfect!
A Perilous Undertaking by Deanna Raybourn – 5 Stars In this one we are following Veronica and Stoker who are asked to solve a murder of a woman before an innocent man is hanged for it. I really enjoyed this one and the secrets that were revealed.
A Treacherous Curse by Deanna Raybourn – 4 Stars Veronica and Stoker are asked to look into a disappearance of a photographer that went missing on an archeological dig in Egypt. This one was still a very fun read but I just didn’t like it as much as the first two.
The Replacement Wife by Darby Kane – 3 Stars I was really excited for this one as I loved her release last year, Pretty Little Wife but this one was just ok for me. This one follows Elisa who has recently suffered a trauma and now rarely. leaves home except to take her son to and from school. We start the story with her suspecting her brother-in-law of doing something to his missing fiancé and we spend the rest of this book figuring out what happened to her. I thought the book was fun but very predictable and nothing really surprised me. There are trigger warnings in tis one for death of a spouse/partner, mass shooting, gaslighting.
A Dangerous Collaboration by Deanna Raybourn – 4 Stars Veronica is asked to pretend to be the fiancé of Stoker’s brother and goes to a house party with him in the hopes of finding out what happened to a missing bride from 3 years earlier. Again this one was a fun read just not my favorite in the series.
The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James – 4 Stars This was one of my most anticipated releases for this year and while it didn’t disappoint I didn’t love it as much as I have her two previous books written in this style. This book still has her signature style if you know what I mean. It is told in dual timelines and this was ultimately why I couldn’t give it 5 stars. The first timeline is set 2017 and follows Shea who is a true crime blogger by night and also Beth who was accused of two murders in 1977. Shea ends up meeting Beth and starts interviewing her for the blog. The second timeline is Beth’s perspective in 1977 when the murders took place. Beth’s past timeline is the one I struggled with, I was not interested in it until about halfway through when we learned a key piece of information. Overall this is still a fantastic story and I will continue to praise and push her books on everyone!
