They say not to judge a book by it’s cover but we all it do it. So today we are talking about what makes a cover beautiful. I don’t think there is a uniform formula and it’s more a matter of if the book speaks to me. I know I seem to like books that show a young woman in a pretty dress, like Chanel Cleeton’s books and Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s Mexican Gothic.
These two YA Fantasy covers are also some of my favorites, the close up of their faces and the details are just so good.
I also love fantasy covers that looks like paintings. Juliet Marillier is one of my favorite fantasy authors and I think her covers are some of the most gorgeous ones out there!
