Top 5 Tuesday – October 13th

Today’s Top 5 Tuesday is books that have or talk about Ghosts! I am not a huge fan of reading about ghosts, I’m not sure why but just haven’t been drawn to them. Most of the ghosts I could think of are in paranormal romance series. Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, and now being hosted by Meeghan reads.

Chasing Magic by Stacia Kane – Main character Chess is a witch and ghost hunter, this is a pretty dark series and deals with heavier topics. Urban Fantasy

First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones – In this series we have Charley Davidson who is a grim reaper and helps souls move on. Urban Fantasy

Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost – Love this series! It has ghosts, vampires and ghouls! Paranormal Romance

Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier – Classic gothic tale about a new bride and the ghost of the previous wife who may still be lingering on the property. Classic

The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James – A girl disappears one night while working at the Sun Down Motel and 25 years later her niece comes looking for answers.

I also want to mention two other books that have ghosts in them. I am currently reading both of these but haven’t finished them yet.

  • The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson – Classic story about a house that may be more than it seems.
  • Home Before Dark by Riley Sager – A Family leaves the house in the middle of the night and years later the daughter has returned to find out the truth of their stay in the house.

Whats your favorite story that has ghosts, whether real or imagined, in it?

Until Next Time, Happy Reading!
