August Releases

Hi Friends! It has been a long time since I have posted but I am hoping to get back into the swing of thing this month. Since I started working full time I just don’t have as much time as I would like to work on this, plus I was gone over half the summer on vacations so my schedule was even crazier than normal! Anyways, enough chit chat here are some books that I am looking forward to coming out this month. I am currently working my way through With Love, From Cold World and Vampires of El Norte and really enjoying both of them. Let me know what books you are looking forward to in August.

  • Change of Plans by Dylan Newton – 8/1 – 5 Stars
  • With Love, From Cold World by Alicia Thompson – 8/1
  • The Connelly’s of County Down by Tracey Lange – 8/1 – 5 Stars

Reading Round Up: April Part 2

Hello friends! I just realized that I never finished my round up for April and we are almost to mid June! I do have a new favorite from these four books thought that might make top 5 for the year.

If Only You by Chloe Liese – 4 Stars I love the Bergmans so much and was highly anticipating this one! I read this one so long ago now that I don’t really remember a ton about it other than it follows Iggy and Sebastian. Iggy is the youngest Bergman and is tired of being babied by her family so she decides to make a deal with her older brothers best friend who needs a little PR boost. Fake dating is not my favorite trope and I think thats why this one just didn’t match the others in the series. That being said it was still a great book and can not recommend this series enough.

Coronation Year by Jennifer Robson – 4 Stars This story follows hotel owner Edie Howard, photographer Stella Donati and artist James Geddes as they all prepare for Queen Elizabeth II coronation day! I really enjoyed this story and how all three characters came together. There was so much history in this book not only about the royalty but also about the war and how it was still effecting everyone in 1952. I also loved that there was mystery going on in the background. If you are looking for a fun historical set in the 1959โ€™s than I highly recommend this one!! Thank you Bibliolifestyle PR and William Marrow for my gifted copy for review.

Georgie All Along by Kate Clayborn – 5 Stars Again I read this one a while ago but I know I loved it!! This story follows Georgie as she moves back home to reevaluate her life after her job ends suddenly. I love a good story that has great character development as well as growth and romance! Georgie and Levi’s relationship is one of my favorites I have read this year and can’t wait to re-read it!

The Connellys of County Down by Tracy Lange – 4 Stars One of the reasons why I love Tracey Lange’s writing is the character development, she does a great job of bringing them to life and making you feel for them. In this book we follow Tara as she gets out of prison and comes home to live with her two siblings who are both going through things that Tara knows nothing about. I loved that we get pov’s from Tara, both of her siblings as well as the police officer who put her behind bars. If you love a good family drama than I highly recommend checking this one out. Thank you Celadon for my gifted copy for review.

What are you currently reading?

  • A Love Catastrophe by Helena Hunting – I am about 30% into this one and will probably dnf, I am not a fan of all the cat puns in every other sentence.
  • How To Honeymoon Alone by Olivia Hayle – I am 55% into this one and really enjoying it. I am such a sucker for a grump/sunshine romance plus it has a tropical setting!
  • Before She Finds Me by Heather Chavez – Going between the book and the audio for this one and am about 20% in, so far it’s really good.
  • Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams – Only about 18% into this one but I am reading it physically and that usually takes me longer to finish.

What did you recently finish reading?

  • Love Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood – 5 Stars

What do you think youโ€™ll read next?

Book Blitz: A Love Catastrophe by Helena Hunting

๐Ÿฑ AVAILABLE NOW ๐Ÿฑ

The fur is about to fly between a cheerful cat sitter and a grumpy hockey nerd in this hilarious and charming rom-com from New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting.

Kitty Hart has become internet famous as the Kitty Whisperer for her expertise on all things feline, and as a result, her cat-sitting business is booming. But lately, she has a terrible feeling that maybe her life isnโ€™t quite going where itโ€™s supposed toโ€”especially after falling face-first into her newest client. Not exactly the best first impression.

Fortunately, Miles Thorn is just as bad at first impressions. Strike one: he doesnโ€™t like cats, especially Prince Francis, the haughty and mischievous Sphynx his mom left in his care. Strike two: tackling her to the floor in a misguided attempt to save the pet he continually calls โ€œthe gremlin.โ€

As awkwardness slides into attraction and things start to turn purr-sonal, will these two complete opposites ever be able to find their furry-tail ending?

Book Blitz: How To Honeymoon Alone by Olivia Hayle

Take one ex-bride recovering from a ย nuptial disaster and one workaholic who doesnโ€™t know how to relax, and youโ€™ve got a romantic comedy for the ages!

When Eden dumped her cheating ex before the wedding, the last thing she expected was to go on their tropical honeymoon alone. But with no refunds possible, she packs her budget guidebook and broken heart, and sets off.

She plans to relax on the beach, swim in the ocean, and drink cocktails until she feels like herself againโ€ฆ or falls over. Whichever comes first. What sheโ€™s not expecting is the brusque, handsome stranger who sits down at her table on the first night.

Philip Meyer is a grumpy workaholic, and so irritatingly cynical that it makes her forget sheโ€™s grieving just to prove him wrong about the world. The two have nothing in commonโ€ฆ except trying to forget who theyโ€™ve left behind.

The luxury resort isnโ€™t too big, and fate soon pushes them together again. And again. Catamaran cruises and midnight swims give way to late night room service and whispered nothings. Maybe opposites really do attract.

But every vacation has to end, even the very best onesโ€ฆ Can these two opposites make it last?

This steamy romantic comedy is the perfect summer read! Great for fans of The Love Hypothesis or Beach Read, it involves a feisty heroine and the grumpy hero who reluctantly (but inevitably) falls for her charmsโ€ฆ

How to Honeymoon Alone, a steamy, meet-cute, opposites-attract romantic comedy from Olivia Hayle, is available now!

Fall in love in paradise!

Exclusively on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited!!

About Olivia Hayle

Olivia is a hopeless romantic who loves billionaires heroes, despite never having met one. So she took matters into her own hands and creates them on the page instead. Stern, charming, cold or brooding, so far sheโ€™s never met a (fictional) billionaire she didnโ€™t like.

A voracious reader of romance, Olivia picked up the pen a few years back and what followed was nothing short of a love affair of. Now she spends her days chuckling at the steamy banter sheโ€™s writing or swooning at happily-ever-afters.

Sheโ€™s been writing contemporary romance novels since 2019. Theyโ€™re all available on Amazon and enrolled in Kindle Unlimited.

(Phew. Now I can go back to writing first-person love stories!)

โ€œIโ€™m a professional cat sitter.โ€

He blinks once, twice, a third time, and then throws his head back and guffaws. It draws the attention of the surrounding tables, which in turns makes my face feel hot. When I donโ€™t join in, his expression sobers and his eyes round with shock. โ€œYouโ€™re serious?โ€

This coming from a guy who went into alien studies because of a Reeseโ€™s Pieces-โ€“loving Hollywood-created extra-terrestrial. โ€œYup. I own my own business.โ€

He frowns. โ€œYou can make a living off of that?โ€

This isnโ€™t an uncommon reaction to my job, but it is frustrating. โ€œThereโ€™s a woman who makes six figures from farting in jars. Why canโ€™t cat sitting be lucrative enough to pay the bills?โ€

โ€œCats are kind of assholes, though. Like, dog sitting I get. They need to be let out and taken for walks. Cats are just doorstops that crap in a box,โ€ Bryce says.

โ€œTheyโ€™re just as affectionate as dogs, and they need just as much love and care,โ€ I argue.

My phone buzzes in my pocket, which is a relief because Iโ€™m getting heated. More than just in my face. I check the message, half hoping itโ€™s an emergency. Itโ€™s not urgent, but it is Miles. Listening to Bryce crap all over my job isnโ€™t my idea of a good time. But if Miles were hereโ€ฆOn a whim made out of panic and kneejerk reactions, I invite him to the pub. It isnโ€™t until after I hit the Send button that I realize it probably isnโ€™t the best idea to invite the guy I have a crush on to a pub with my sister and her friends.
