Reading Round Up: February Part 2

The Fake Mate by Lana Ferguson – 3 Stars This one was not quite what I expected but I did have a good time with it. I have always loved paranormal romances and while this might not look like one it is. We have Mackenzie and Noah who are werewolf shifters that are both tired of getting set them up and decide to be fake mates so people will leave them alone. Of course things don’t work out like they expect and consequences start to arise from their deception. Fun and entertaining and very spicy! Thank you Berkley and Edelweiss for my gifted copy!

Ghost Station by S.A. Barnes – 3.5 Stars Dead Silence is one of my favorite books ever, I recommend it all the time at my bookstore where I work because it is just so good. Know ing I loved it so much I think I went into Ghost Station just a little too hyped. Over all I thought the book was good, still love her writing but I just wanted a little more from the ending. Dr. Ophelia Bray who is an expert on ERS is sent to evaluate on exploration crew who do not want her there, after a death of one of their team mates. Once on the site Dr. Ophelia and the crew soon realize that things are not as they appear on the planet. Id Dr. Ophelia finally succumbing to the disease she has spent her life studying or is something else happening. Still a fun read but like I said I just wanted a little more explanation at the end. Thank you Tor for my gifted copy for review!

A Governess’s Guide to Passion and Peril by Manda Collins – 3.5 Stars I have loved this series since book 1! In book 4 we are following Jane who is working as a governess after misfortune falls on her family. While in employment she meets up with childhood friend and former crush Lord Adrian. I really enjoyed the relationship between Jane and Adrian and also loved that we were solving the mystery of many mysterious deaths. I always love a good mystery with my romance. I really hope we get more in the series!  Thank you Forever for my gifted copy for review!! This one is out now so be sure to go and pick it up. These do not need to be read in order to enjoy them!

Murder Road by Simone St. James – 4.5 Stars Murder Road is Simone St. James’s newest release and it could be one of my top 3 for her. This one had a great 90’s vibe and the creepiness was perfect. If you are new to her or already love her then you should definitely pick this one up. Thank you @berkleypub and @this_is_edelweiss for my #gifted copy for review.

Listen For The Lie by Amy Tintera – 5 Stars Listen For The Lie is a new release from Amy Tintera. In this one we are following Lucy who has been accused of killing her best friend but was never convicted. Years later Lucy is back in her home town because a popular podcast decided her life was his next series. I loved this book from page one and could not put it down. Very funny and fast paced! Thank you @celadonbooks for my #gifted copy of this book!
