Reading Round Up: February part 3

Hi friends! I’m here with my last round up for February. My last 4 reads for the month were all fun and I enjoyed them all. Im curious if you have read any of these and what your thoughts are since two of them are a little different for romances.

The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton – 4 Stars This was unique historical romance that follows a group of lady scoundrels who try to assassinate each other while also helping each other as well. You have these lady’s with such victorian manners on what is proper while at the same time they steal, cheat and try to get rid of rivals all while flying their houses around England. This was such a mix and I really enjoyed it! The romance was great as was the mystery and setting. If you are looking for something outside of the norm than I would highly recommend picking this one up!

Well Traveled by Jen Deluca – 4.5 Stars Well Traveled is the 4th book in the Well Met series and this one could tie for my favorite with Mitch’s book. I enjoyed both the romance and the journey our main character goes through and I thought the third act breakup was a believable on. Highly recommend this series and it isn’t one that you have to strictly read in order.

Funny You Should Ask by Elissa Sussman – 4 Stars  I just finished this one recently and kept putting it off because I kept seeing meh reviews! I am so sad I kept putting this one off because it was a really cute read! Even though I am not a fan of second chance romances this one really hit the spot this week. I really enjoyed the story of Chani and Gabe in both the past and present. Can’t wait to read her next book!!

Off The Map by Trish Doller – 3.5 Stars This story follows Carla who we met back in The Floatplan as Anna’s best friend. Carla is traveling to Ireland to help Anna prepare for her wedding. Upon landing she is greeted by Anna’s future brother-in-law Eamon and the two instantly have a connection. Along the journey to their destination Carla and Eamon keep stopping to have adventures and are barely on time for the wedding. Overall I enjoyed this one, Floatplan is still my favorite by this author as well as one of favorites in general but this one is second. I really enjoy the traveling aspect of these stories and the descriptions that we get about the landscape. My main complaint for this one is that I don’t feel like the two main characters spend enough time together to make the decisions they do unlike in Floatplan when they spend so much time getting to know each other. This book was still an enjoyable read and I would recommend it if you are looking for a fun romance. Thank you St.Martin’s Press for my gifted copy for review.
