Let’s Talk Bookish – August 19th

Friday’s are for The Let’s Talk Bookish Meme which is a weekly meme created by Rukky@EternityBooks and is now hosted by Aria @Booknookbits.

Todays topic is Unhauling books (Amber @ Escape Life in the Pages)

How do you feel about unhauling books? I love to unhaul books but sometimes I tend to regret my rash decisions. My reading tastes change quite a bit so I will unhaul books that I think I won’t read again only to discover I am really in the mood for that book a few years later.

Do you get rid of books often? Or do you hold on to every book you buy? I try to go through my shelves every couple of months. I like to make sure I have space for all the new books I am bringing in!

How do you decide which books to get rid of? Now I try to only get rid of books that I rate really low or ones that have been on my shelves for a long time and I don’t see myself reading them anytime soon. I used to do a lot of thrifting and these are the ones I tend to get rid of with out having read yet.

Are there any books you would never get rid of? I don’t think so because you just never know but my HP’s, Nalini Singh’s, Lynsay Sands’ and some really old Juliet Marillier’s and Sara Douglas’ are probably high on my list to never get rid of.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you unhaul books? Let me know in the comments below!

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Becky and I am a Real Estate Agent/Stay At Home Mom and I live in the beautiful state of Colorado with my husband, two kids, dog and cat. I am an avid reader and read on average 2-3 books a week. I started my blog because I needed a place where I could talk about books and put down my thoughts on all things book related.

  1. I am always scared of regretting a book that I unhaul.. probably why I don’t unhaul as many as I should! I like to go through my books every year and pick ones that have been on the shelves too long. I have the year to read them and if not… bye!! It’s been nice!
