Happy Sunday book friends! I am here today with Sunday’s meme Six for Sunday which was created by A Little But A Lot. Today’s topic is bookish wins for 2020. Bookish wins for me is reading books outside my normal comfort, whether this was by genre or representation in the books. so here are 6 of my bookish wins from last year.
Always Only Us by Chloe Liese – Representation for a person with a physical disability.
Ties That Tether By Jane Igharo – Main character of color struggling in today’s society with her parents ideals.
Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade – Positive body representation.
Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall – Characters who identify differently than me.
Marriage Game by Sara Desai – A book about a culture other than my own.
Mexican Gothic – A Horror book, this one made me realize I might like more in this genre than I thought. It also was about a place and time that I know nothing about.
