Reading Round Up February 21-29

Hey Guys! I hope you had a great reading month in February. I ended up finishing 3 more books which brings me to 11 books for the month. I might try and squeeze one more but not sure if I can do it. February was not my best month but my reads were all pretty great this month, so I am not too disappointed.

Keeping reading if you want to hear my thoughts on my last reads for February.

What She Didn’t See by Heather Wynter – 4 Stars This is a short novella that introduces us to Grace who is on vacation in Italy with her best friend. When tragedy strikes Grace is set on a path she never thought she would go down. I found this to be a fast paced story that was a go from the beginning. I really enjoyed the writing style and was invested the entire time so I could find out how Grace’s story would end. I really hope the author continues because I need to know what happens next! Love Hard by Nalini Singh – 5 Stars I have said it before and I will keep on saying it, I LOVE her books! Whether its her fantasy series or contemporary or thriller, I know I am just going to love it! This is the 3rd book in the Hard Play series that follows 4 brothers, in this story we are following the third brother Jake who is a professional rugby player and single father. At his brother’s wedding Jake is paired with his high school nemesis Juliet. I loved the chemistry between these two and I am a sucker for a good enemies to lovers story. One of things I loved in this story was that it was on the slower side for a romance but once they decided to be together there was no conflict or miscommunication to separate them or have them work thru. I also loved Jake’s relationship with Esme, she was his priority thru the entire book and all decisions he made he had her mind, talk about swoon worthy! I am so excited for the next book and can’t wait to read Danny’s (the fourth brother) story. I highly recommend this book!!!! This book comes out March 10, 2020. A Girl’s Guide to the Outback by Jessica Kate – 4 Stars In A Girl’s Guide to the Outback we follow start-up expert Kimberly Foster and youth pastor Samual Payton. After finding out that his family’s farm back in Australia is failing Sam returns home to help them out. Meanwhile the ministry that both of them worked for is not doing so well with out Sam there, so Kimberly heads to Australia to see if she can convince him to come back while giving them advice on their farm. This story is an enemies to lover’s romance and that is my favorite trope! The banter between the two main characters was perfect. Both Sam and Kimberly had personal issues that they needed to work thru throughout the story and I thought the author did this very well. There are some great side characters in this as well that we get to follow my favorite is Sam’s Sister Jules. There is also a great portrayal of friendship in this book between Jules and Kimberly and their moments together were some of my favorites. I really enjoyed this book and will look for more by this author. If you are wanting a sweet slow burn romance than I highly recommend this one. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
