Reading Round Up – January Part 3

The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center – 5 Stars I really love all of Katherine Center’s books, they are full of fun ad relatable characters, great writing and just so much fun. I feel like this book for anyone who is a fan of rom-coms, like the ones from the nineties. We follow Emma who once was a promising screen writer but is now a care taker for her ailing dad but when Emma gets the chance to work with a renowned screen writer on his new rom-com she knows she can not pass this opportunity up. What follows is a grump sunshine friendship/romance that I loved from beginning to end. I can not recommend Katherine Center’s books enough! This one comes out June 11, 2024. Thank you St.Martin’s Press for my gifted copy for review!

Bride by Ali Hazelwood – 4.5 Stars I am pretty sure I have read everything written by Ali Hazelwood and when I heard she was doing a Vampire/Werewolf romance, I knew I had to read it!! I am so glad it didn’t disappoint!!! Urban fantasy and Paranormal Romance have always been some of my favorite genres and we don’t see a lot of new ones coming out, hopefully this propels more authors to go back to these as I love them! This one follows Vampire Misery as she gives up her life in the human world to wed the leader of the Werewolf pack, Lowe to broker peace between the two nations. Misery has more than one motive for this and hopefully it doesn’t ruin the alliance. I really enjoyed everything in this book. There was romance, friendships and politics with a little mystery in it as well. This was so fun and I hope everyone picks it up!!  Thank you @Berkley and joyful chaos for my #gifted copy for review!!!

All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata – 5 Stars This was a re-read because the release of the traditionally published version was coming out. I love all of Mariana’s books and this one is in my top 3 of hers. I love a sunshine grump story and when it’s set in Colorado I a in. If you like slow burns then pick this one up!!

To Woo and To Wed by Martha Waters – 4 Stars I have really enjoyed this historical romance series and am sad to see it finished. This is the fifth and final book in the Regency Vows series and we are finally getting the Marquess of Weston and Lady Fitzwilliam Bridewell’s story. I am not normally a fan of second chance romances but this one worked for me. Wes and Sophie are thrown together because of their mutual friends but are hiding a secret that they used to be engaged many years ago, but when tragedy strikes the couple break it off. Now years later the two seem to still have all the chemistry that they did before and wonder if they can maybe be together again. I love Martha Water’s writing, it is always fun and engaging. Thank you Atria for my gifted copy for review, this one came out in February so you can read it now!
