Reading Round Up – January Part 2

Kilt Trip by Alexandra Kiley – Stars 4.5 Stars I was part of a traveling arc group and it is one of my favorite things! I love seeing everyone’s notes who read it before me. This book follows Adie who travels the world helping companies market themselves. Logan’s family has run tours in Scotland for years and does not want an outsider coming in and changing his life. I loved all things Scotland in this book and kept notes for places that I hope are real so I can go visit them one day. I also really enjoyed the romance in this one. Love a good travel inspired romance. Thank you Harper Collins for my gifted copy for review!

Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gillig – 5 Stars This is the conclusion to One Dark Window and we finally see what happens to Elspeth, Nightmare her monster and the Captain. loved this ending and the duology as a wholewas 5 Stars!! Gothic fantasy is really becoming my jam.

Things You Save in a Fire and How To Walk Away by Katherine Center – 5 Stars Continuing with emotional reads I re-read two Katherine Center book’s which are about women going through hard times and how they move on from them. In the first one we follow a female firefighter who moves from Austin to Boston and her new station does not want a woman working there. She is also dealing with taking care of her estranged sick mother. In the next one we follow a woman who gets into a plane crash and loses the use of her legs. Not only is her life changing in this regard but her fiancé is also acting weird and she didn’t get her dream job. Both of these are excellent reads!
